Developer Log 01

Good Evening Passengers of Flight 172!
First things first, allow me to humble express my appreciation to the early passengers. For your early adoption I'll upgrade you to business class. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing except bragging rights! In all seriousness, thank you guys! It is your support and encouragement that will keep this project running.
Allow me to introduce myself, your captain for this flight (okay, airplane puns are going to get old really fast). My name is Grizzlebubs I'm a software developer by day, AVN developer by night. Over the last 20 years of my development career (yea I'm old...ish), I've learned many things. One of the most important things I've learned is to always be upfront and honest. So I want to start this project off with honesty. It's the best.
This project is still very early in the development process. I have a working build of the project up and running as well as a handful of proofreaders that are awesome and I don't deserve, but it is still early. I don't have any fancy-shmancy image with percentages yet, but if I had to estimate I'd break it down as follows:
- Story: 15%. Currently I have around 4,000 words written for the prologue. Estimating how many other scenes needs writing and that puts us around 20,000 to 30,000 words.
- Rendering: 0%. I have the Male and Female Leads for the cast created, but I still need roughly 8 more characters created: Chris (Xander's Dad), Tiffany (Xander's Mom), Franklin (Celeste's Dad), Ivy, Eric, Albert, Nathan and Mason. But rendering can start without many of these (since not all of them will be in every scene).
- UI: 75%. I'll be honest, the UI COULD use some beautification, but that can wait. It is functional, and contains a LOT of useful functions that I will go into on a later post. The only thing really missing are renders for the characters on the statistics page and the Menu.
- Coding and Music: 20%. Music hasn't been started, but a large portion of the coding has been completed. It is only a matter of adding the renders.
I plan to start setting up scenes tomorrow evening and getting the first official renders up and implemented. Which is exciting, I'll hopefully have a few screenshots shortly. I'll discuss my design philosophy, goals, and desires for this project at a later date. Join our Discord for interacting with other Passengers of Flight 172 and to keep up to date further!
In the meantime, if you guys have any questions, feel free to add them in the comments and I'll answer them.
